- What if I'm not sure whether a toy qualifies?
We're always happy to help. Email us a photo at Flips@FlipJoyToys.com and we'll let you know whether the toy is a good fit for FlipJoy.
- Do I need to send toys from a specific age range?
No. You may send any combination of toys as long as they are appropriate for children ages 6 months through 5 years.
- What if a toy is missing a few pieces?
Minor missing pieces may be acceptable if they do not impact play. However, toys missing major pieces required for functional play should not be included.
- Do games, puzzles, and LEGO sets need their original box?
Yes, whenever possible. Original packaging helps keep pieces together during the swap process.
Wooden puzzles are the exception and do not require their original packaging.
- Can small toys be grouped together?
Yes. Smaller items such as toy cars, animal figures, or pretend food may be grouped together to create meaningful play value and meet FlipJoy's $10 minimum value guideline per toy.
- What happens if I accidentally include toys that don't meet the Rules of the Bag?
We understand mistakes happen. However, toys that do not meet FlipJoy's requirements may be subject to a replacement fee of $5 per toy.

Most toys are easy to evaluate. If the toy is clean, complete, age-appropriate, and fits inside a standard FlipJoy bag, it's probably a great candidate.

What Toys can I send?
Most toys intended for children ages 6 months through 5 years are welcome at FlipJoy.
A Few toys we cannot accept
We do have a few safety, sanitation, or special-category restrictions. Please find the toys we cannot accept below:
Quality Check
Please aim to provide toys you’d be happy to receive for your own children. We accept toys that are “Good” or better quality.
Accepted
Normal signs of play are perfectly okay. Toys should be clean, functional, and ready for another family to enjoy.
Not Accepted
Toys with safety concerns, significant damage, or missing or broken pieces should not be included in your swap.
Toy Value Check
To help every FlipJoy swap feel exciting and complete, we encourage families to include the figures, accessories, and pieces that help a toy function as intended.
Keep Toy Sets Together
If a toy was designed to be played with specific pieces, please include those pieces whenever possible.
Example: Little People buses, houses, farms, and playsets should ideally include the Little People figures that go with them.

Each toy should have an approximate original retail value of $10 or more. Smaller toys that may not meet this value on their own can often be grouped together to create meaningful play value and meet FlipJoy’s toy guidelines.
Example: Small vehicles or pretend foods or can be grouped into a complete play set.
If a toy was designed to be played with specific pieces, please include those pieces whenever possible.
Example: Little People buses, houses, farms, and playsets should ideally include the Little People figures that go with them.
Toys are more fun and valuable when they include the pieces needed for meaningful play.
Example: A barn is much more enjoyable when paired with a few animals rather than sent by itself.

Rules of the Bag
01. Pick Your Toys
Number
Gather 10* toys for kids ages 6 months to 5 years.**
You can send a mix of toys across the 6 months to 5 years range. When you schedule each swap, you will be able to select the specific age range for the toys you would like to receive that best fits your child, regardless of the toys you are sending in.
*One-time swaps: choose 5 to 10 toys.
**To keep every FlipJoy bag high quality, each toy should have an estimated retail value of $10 or higher.

– Easy to clean toys*: no fabric toys, stuffed animals, dolls, or bath toys**.
– All parts must be present for multi-piece toys or sets.
– Any battery-operated components must be in working order.
– Only new/unused arts and crafts supplies and kits are accepted.
– Puzzles, LEGOs, and board games should be in their original box and age-appropriate. Wooden puzzles do not require their original packaging.
– No books, monogramed***, holiday, or religious items.
02. Check Your Toys
Quality
We accept toys rated Good or higher on our quality scale. Toys with inappropriate writing, images, or stickers* are not accepted.
*If there is a sticker that can be safely taken off without damaging the toy, please do so before sending it in and we’d be happy to accept it.
Size
Make sure that your selection of toys fits comfortably in the provided FlipJoy bag. If the toys don’t fit, please select a different combination of toys that can be accommodated within the bag.
